Production Area: Critone Farm, in the countryside of Strongoli; Rosaneti Farm, in the countryside of Rocca di Neto and Casabona
Grapes: Gaglioppo 60%, Cabernet Sauvignon 40%
Harvest: first ten days of October
Vinification: fermentation in thermo-conditioned stainless steel, with a 15 days maceration
Ageing: wood, with 12 months in Allier barriques and an additional bottle ageing of 6 months before marketing
Best drinking time : after five years
Tasting notes: Deep ruby-red in color, Gravello is intensely aromatic with notes of blackberry, ripe cherry, coffee. On the palate, it is rich with velvety tannins and a persistent finish.
Pairings: Pair this wine with grilled game, Mornay sauces, Chateaubriand, and duxelles-stuffed filet mignon.
